Grade 5B

My Deep Hope: My Deep Hope is to design encounters where students struggle, understand, connect, and thrive as they love God and others.

I am so pleased and excited to be part of the staff of Immanuel Christian Elementary School as a Grade 5 teacher!  My ‘why’ for teaching has always been based on 2 Cor. 4: 1, “Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.”  I am thrilled to be able to openly share that with the parents of my future students.  I have been teaching for 13 years in various capacities.  While my three children were small, I substitute taught and took short or part-time contracts at various schools so that I could spend the bulk of my time with my own littles.  Over my years of teaching, I have taught everything from the Early Education Program to High School.

I am passionate about learning, growing, and building into the lives of others.  I do this through involvement in the school community, E-free Lethbridge, and Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp, as well as a few local organizations.  I look forward to meeting all of you!  I believe that one of the most powerful lessons that children can learn is their capacity to do ‘hard’ things.  It is my hope that we will do hard things together, as a community, and through God’s grace and goodness.
