My Deep Hope: My Deep Hope is that my students will be responsive disciples, using their minds and hearts in their life's expression of their faith.
My teaching career began at Taber Christian School after graduating from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Education. (I had previously attended Augustana University in Camrose and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French). I met my husband, Vince, at Augustana University and we completed our B.Ed programs at the U of L together. He then went on to teach the sciences at Immanuel Christian High School (and has been teaching there for the past 25 year). I taught at Taber Christian School for 5 years before taking a break to have our 2 sons. (Fun fact: I also attended Taber Christian School as a student). When our sons started attending Immanuel Christian Elementary School in the early 2000's, I was excited to get back into teaching, and took a part-time position teaching French at the elementary school, where I have been ever since. Our first son graduated from Immanuel a couple of years ago and our other son is graduating from Immanuel this year. I feel so blessed to be a part of this community...as a parent, and as a teacher.
