Kindergarten

My Deep Hope: My Deep Hope is for my students to know Jesus and understand that they are a loved, child of God.

My name is Kathryn Ferrie and I have the privilege of entering my 10th year of teaching Kindergarten. My roots go deep in the ICS community, having been a student from K-12 and participating in school life in all the ways possible; sports, music, art, etc. I began my post-secondary education at Lethbridge College and completed my Bachelors of Education at Dordt College. My husband Jason and I moved back to Lethbridge where I began teaching Grade 3 at Immanuel Christian Elementary School and have taught on and off between having our three children.

In the classroom, I have a love for literacy and teaching my students about God's redeeming love through the stories in the Bible. I am a strong advocate for play-based learning and exploration.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy coaching volleyball and basketball, cheering on my children who are now proudly Eagles athletes, enjoying a good book and relaxing with my family and friends over dinner.
