Principal

My Deep Hope: My Deep Hope for each person in our school community is to realize they are valued, know their purpose in God’s story, and flourish as they live, learn and serve together.

I grew up on a mixed farm in northern Saskatchewan. After high school, I attended Briercrest College where I received a Bachelor of Religious Education, majoring in Christian Education. I then moved to Lethbridge to begin my university studies, completing my Bachelor of Arts (Music) and Bachelor of Education prior to entering the teaching profession. Later, I returned to the University of Lethbridge where I completed my Master of Education in Educational Leadership.

2025-26 school year marks my 27th year at ICES. I taught Grade 2 and Grade 4 for several years, then moved into the role of Vice Principal and Learning Support Teacher for five years. This is my sixth year serving our school as Principal. I am honoured and humbled to serve our community in this role and look forward to working together.

The name of our school holds special meaning to me. Immanuel means God with us. He is with us in every moment of every day, including the celebrations and the challenges. Hence, the name of our school reminds me everyday that God is with me and our school community

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5 & 6
