Welcome to Advent, the second week for us here at school! Compassion's rep John Voort came to visit. The students are already bringing in money for this worthwhile organization. Students are encouraged to work for these funds, not just to ask Mom and Dad for money.
The second giving area is the local foood bank. There is always a deep need for food at this time of year. Students are welcome to bring non-perishable goods to school anytime in the next few weeks.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Journeying with God, is our theme. Each day is a gift from God, full of possibilities. Each day is an adventure. We will journey together, learning more about God and more about His world. Grade Three offers unique experiences.
In Grade Three we reinforce already learned concepts and skills, and build on them to further develop those abilities God has given. We learn to use varying resources, find strategies to organize, and learn to become independent learners.
Mrs. Postman teaches all Science, Mrs. Middel teaches Music, Mr. Lieuwen teaches the computer class, and Mrs. Vanden Heuvel will teach Health, P.E. and support Language learning. Questions and comments can be e-mailed to us. Newsletters may be sent home or posted on the Grade Three Page of the ICES school website. Other important information:
